Parents in Liverpool

After one year in Liverpool, it was high time to invite some of my parents over to the city. Despite last weeks uncertainties in precipitation etc (***) the weekend turned out to be quite nice. Stayed around town on Saturday, with an obligatory trip to a 'true british' fish-and-chips stop:

On Sunday we all went to The Roaches in the peak district for a nice long hike in the English countryside. Here are some jumping photos from up on the ridge:

Note to self: The next time when taking jumping photos, check which way the sun is shining ...

(***) Take Friday as an example: It went from thunderstorm to pissing rain to hot-and-sunshine to sticky heat all in the space of a few hours. What are you supposed to tell someone if they ask about the weather?
