C and I went to Snowdonia this weekend; first time in Wales for me! I thought that we were in for some nice and gentle hikes, yet the trip to Tryfan proved to be anything but! It is only about a kilometer from the road, but the trail involves some 600m gain in altitude. Here is C concentrating on one of the easier sections of the trail.
Hiking & climbing in not-so-high-altitude but very alpine terrain! Fun and games, will be back there ASAP. Anybody wants to join? Here are two more views of Tryfan, one with C and the other one with C's tent in the foreground.
Finally, a view from today. The original plan was to go up to Snowdon, but the parking lot was completely full and we had to go back down the next valley. Discovered a park and ride, but decided to go walking up another ridge. We thus profited from two lucky coincidences at once - first it was not cloudy in our neck of the woods, and second, we got back to the car just before it started to rain. What a wonderful weekend!
