The last image is particularly interesting. It shows Downpatrick Head in County Mayo, which was separated from the mainland via the extended force of the sea. Legend has it that the separation happened during a particularly nasty storm in 1393 when some peasants staying on the territory suddenly found themselves and their sheep on an island sourrounded by high cliffs ... The google satellite picture for this pic is interesting as the bottom of it shows a massive blow hole: Standing there, you can watch the waves trashing at a point 50m inland.
