Canadian visitor

Last week, we had D staying with us from Ottawa. She managed to convince her government lab that it is absolutely essential for her to learn the procedures and tricks in C's laser lab and suddenly we discovered that our house is a nice place to stay for the occasion...

She brought some yummy maple syrup and cooked pancakes for us - visitors like that are always welcome!

On the way here, she also appeared to have sneaked over to visit S in Trondheim which means she arrived with the means to build a gingerbread house. We just had to try. It did not turn out to be entirely as intended initially, but the result is still reasonably presentable. Yum yum.
