Went to Dover Island today, a beautiful Island just off the coast, facing the atlantic. It is getting washed by waves every single winter, which creates a wonderful (and often changing) scenery for bouldering:
This is C playing on a rock that apparently was not there last year.
The last time I had been to Dover was some three years ago, and this meant that you can really see the difference - gigantic rock piles have been built up, while others had disappeared without a trace since my last visit. Winter storms must be enormous there! We heard about some fool from Calgary who is planning on building his retirement home on the next Island over, and wants to live there year-round, I am not sure that this would be a wise idea.
This is the Orange ArĂȘte (V2) in the warm-up area, a very pleasant little climb.
Overall there was a crowd of some 20 people today. In addition we had awesome weather, sun all the way! Could not have been a better way to spend my last Sunday in Nova Scotia for the time being.
