SOD (Sussex Obstacle Dash)

This weekend happened in the South of England, in London and Sussex to be precise. Having long planned to attend the SOD, we made our way down to London on Saturday & spent the afternoon cycling around town and checking out some of the park and the speedy tides on the Thames.

On Sunday, it came down to business. The Sussex Obstacle Dash meant racing 10km on a horse track, including some pretty messy hills and a number of obstacles that are normally reserved for horses too. Some of the obstacles had very telling names such as "The Sloosh" (it involved running through a shallow pond) or "The Dunker" (jumping down a short wall into something that was not just water). For obvious reasons, I did not take a camera along. However, do check out the survival guide, as it gives you a quite accurate description of some of the things going on there.

This is a highly recommended activity if running by itself is not enough for you!!!
