Durham & Glossop

Went for a little tour of northern England this weekend. Firstly, there was a wedding in Durham - the bride was an old university friend of C's. Don't have many pictures of the bride and groom, but most certainly one of us, some three years after the last one of this kind:

Today's leg of the trip was basically back to Liverpool, save for a little detour starting with getting lost in Stockport on the way to picking up L&J, some friends from Germany. Initially we had intended to go climbing in the Peak District, but that plan got scrapped on account of the rain. Ah well. Instead we went for a little hike through the Metropolis of Glossop, introducing my two friends to the joy of jumping photos along the way:

The other important sight of the day was this sign. Personally, I had not yet noticed this very explicit and scary looking sign:
