Zion and Bryce National Parks

C and yours truly are currently in Page, Arizona. We flew into Las Vegas a few days ago, spent one short shopping trip in town and headed for some of the National Parks in Southern Utah. Spent a day and a bit in Zion National Park, camping two nights in temperatures well-below freezing. The first night was very clear, allowing for this view from the top of the car at our campsite:

Today, we headed for Bryce Canyon National Park and went for a hike around the main amphitheatre. This is proof that we really were there, in the snow, in the freezing cold, and on just about the only day of the year without sun. Hrmpf.

I am wearing some cheap "crampons" that were bought yesterday and that turned out to be tremendously useful today, $25 well spent! I am going to leave you with a few impressions from  Bryce, one can't help but to point-and-shoot picture after picture, Japanese style. Here are a few of my results, of course it is supposed to look much better with blue sky and sunshine.
