Playing at Stanage

On account of the sunshine, C (climbing buddy from Liverpool) and I headed to Stanage earlier today to try some climbing. This was facilitated by the recent purchase of a car with a reasonably sized boot, capable of easily holding two large crash pads. It was kinda chilly in Stanage, but the Plantation area was still packed. Once the sun came out it definitely was pleasant, but that changed quickly with the clouds. Here we are, tinkering with a problem that was ever so slightly too difficult for me. Might have to come back to that one:

On the second image, you can see why people are not particularly happy about my largely positive ape factor - e.g. the difference between height and arm span. There were actually quite a few crazy people around, here is an image of a guy who not only did not need a rope (his problem, not mine), but also insisted on budging in and "showing" us how to easy some problems can be when we were really  struggling on them. Definitely his problem...
